Held annually at the end of winter, Caminheiros is a walking festival that takes place in the cross-border region of Alcoutim and Sanlúcar de Guadiana, celebrating the symbiosis between nature and culture in this unique territory. Located between the hills and the River Guadiana, this event invites you to discover the natural beauty and the region's historical, cultural and gastronomic heritage.

With a varied activities programme, the festival offers unique experiences for all tastes and levels of preparation. From traditional hikes along historic trails and stunning landscapes to themed routes that explore astronomy, botanics and the millenary history that permeates every stone and path.

Caminheiros stands out for its strong connection with the local community, which actively participates in the event, providing visitors with an authentic immersion in the region's traditions and way of life. In addition to the walks, the festival offers complementary experiences such as boat trips, workshops on traditional practices, tastings of local products and much more.

Organised by Câmara Municipal de Alcoutim in partnership with the Ayuntamiento de Sanlúcar de Guadiana.

In every edition, it has the support of the Associação Inter-Vivos, among other organizations based in the area.
